Campground Overview

Welcome to By the Bay General Store and Campground. Pike Bay is a small community located on a beautiful inlet off Lake Huron. It boasts some of the most mesmerizing sunsets and has been called the sunset capital of Ontario. It is also centrally located to many favourite destinations on the Bruce Peninsula, such as Sauble Beach, Tobermory.

Directions

Head north on Hwy 6 up into the North Bruce Peninsula. Turn left onto Pike Bay Rd (there is a blue and white highway sign for By the Bay). Once on Pike Bay Rd, watch for signs to turn left, as Pike Bay Rd continues left (if you end up on Whiskey Harbour, you have gone too far). Once you come to the stop sign, turn right onto Pike Bay Rd and we are on the left side.

Our Mandate

Camping In Ontario, also known as Ontario Private Campground Association (OPCA), is a member-based Association, comprised of small businesses located throughout the Province of Ontario. Our Association was started in 1969 by a group of campground owners that wanted to improve their businesses. While the way we do things has changed over the years, our mandate remains the same:

"As a vital and active stakeholder in tourism, Camping In Ontario supports member campgrounds in the Province of Ontario by educating campground owners, marketing camping in Ontario to the general public and advocating to government."
