I was there as a: Overnight RV'er, Family with children
This is an absolutely beautiful park with large camping sites and lots of mature trees. My children absolutely loved the bike trails and swimming pool. We arrived on a Friday night after work and by Saturday Morning our weekend with friends and family turned into a nightmare. I want to preface this by saying I was with 3 other families with 8 children ranging in age from 9 to 15 years of age. We are all in our late thirties early forties and not looking for an “anything goes” campground. All we wanted was some relaxing family time with our friends and children before going back to work on Monday. We wanted a place where the boys could go bike riding and we could have a meal and a campfire before spending a beautiful day at Sauble Beach on Saturday. After getting the boys settled down after enjoying some smores and spider dogs on our campfire we could finally relax with some adult time at around 10:30pm. I put on some background music on a small Bluetooth speaker I had with me. Now to be fair I fully admit we broke the rules of the campground, which were handed to us on the standard paperwork you receive when registering for your campsite. The rules of the campground state no sound after 11:00pm, no fires after midnight and no joining other families on their campsite. We broke all three of these rules. We had a few drinks, conversed and laughed and went to bed after 1:00am. We did not see an employee from the campground that night; we had no warning about the music, fire or congregating in a group. We did not hear from any of the surrounding campers that night either. The next morning a park employee came by at 8:00 am and said that the family who had the ‘party’ had to leave for breaking the rules of the park. We explained we lost track of time and never had a warning. “We don’t need to warn you” was his stern reply. “You have an hour to pack and be gone or you will have to deal with the authorities”. We were confused, shocked and embarrassed. We were lucky enough to be able to book the neighbouring campground 5 minutes away. On our way out the employee mentioned, “Now that you have learned your lesson, you can come back next year and try again.” I will be the first to admit rules are rules and this is advertised as a family campground. I’m assuming the owner had a complaint from another campsite but why wait until the morning? Do they have no staff on at night? Our group broke the rules but where is the common sense? Is it too much to ask to have one warning? The next night at the other campground we had a campfire until shortly after midnight. The staff gave us a friendly wave as he drove by in his golf cart. My advise, stay away from the Woodland Park unless you plan to be in bed at 11:00pm sharp, want a campfire past 12:00am, visit friends on other campsites or you may get a nasty surprise the next morning. I have definitely learned my lesson and will never risk being evicted from that campground ever again.

The owners at this park have some major attitude. They don't help you feel welcome or try and resolve any of your problems. The big guy was very intimidating and questioned us about events that had nothing to do with us? Lovely park but watch out for the staff!!
